INCH offers two main types of housing: Transitional Housing and Long-Term Housing. Each program is designed to meet different needs and provide support based on individual circumstances.
Transitional Housing
Our Transitional Housing programs are designed to provide temporary accommodation and support as individuals and families transition to more permanent housing solutions. These include:
Community Rent Scheme (CRS):
A program providing affordable rental housing with support services.
Same House Different Landlord Program (SHDL)
A partnership with Chermside or Fortitude Valley Department of Housing, allowing tenants to remain in the same house while transitioning to a different landlord.
Brisbane City Council Community Housing Partnership Program (BCC)
A collaboration with Brisbane City Council to offer transitional housing options.
The length of tenancy in Transitional Housing varies, typically ranging from 6 months to 24 months, depending on the specific program.
long-Term Housing
Permanent INCH (PINCH):
Long-term housing managed directly by INCH.
Long Term Department of Housing – Community Managed (LTDOH):
A program managed in collaboration with the Department of Housing, providing long-term housing solutions.
The length of tenancy in Long-Term Housing is based on the ongoing needs of tenants, their income, and their assets.
